Jamaica- Dancehall artiste spice as unveiled the video for her much anticipated
song ‘Sheet’ produced by Power Circle Records. Hot on the heels of hits “Indicator”
and “Needle Eye” the video has exploded in popularity, becoming the #1 trending
dancehall song on youtube and Instagram.
Dubbed the “Queen of Stage”, Spice was recently named
the Youth View Awards’ ‘Local Female Artiste of The Year 2017”. She also made history
when her song “So Mi Like It” gained just over 71 million views, making her the
most viewed female dancehall artiste in youtube history.
“The song is promoting keeping a clean house. I came
up with the idea to do the ‘Sheet Challenge’ to see what’s going on at home. Because
some girls come out hot on Instagram and them house stay bad, them no clean.” Explains Spice on the concept behind the song.
The Instagram live themed video features spice dancers
doing varying versions of the ‘sheet challenge’ which has taken over the Jamaican
dancehall scene. With close to 500,000 youtube views only days after its
release, “Sheet” is quickly shaping up to be one of the year’s defining dancehall
anthems.
